The Mission Statement of the Dataw Island Visual Arts Club

The Visual Arts Club is dedicated to encouraging artistic expression and furthering knowledge and appreciation of the arts for its members.

To support the mission statement, the following objectives guide our work:

  • Offer opportunities to create art and to display artwork.
  • Expand workshop offerings to include basic through advanced instruction.
  • Broaden offerings to increase knowledge of art, art history and art appreciation.
  • Support the acquisition of art from the VAC artists.
